Where targeted work fits
LiftLab treats targeted muscle-group training as an accessory layer on top of a balanced full-body base. Add focused sets when a muscle is a priority, but do not let isolation work crowd out foundational movement patterns.

Programming
A simple approach is to add 2–4 focused sets for the priority muscle to two or three full-body sessions each week, then adjust based on progress and recovery. Weekly set count is a tool rather than a magic threshold; more volume tends to produce more hypertrophy up to diminishing returns, and individual tolerance varies.
